Justin Biebers involvement in a benefit hockey game is set to make waves, all while raising funds crucial for those affected by the devastating Los Angeles wildfires. Actor Steve Carell and musician Ross Lynch will also step onto the ice alongside Justin Bieber at Skate For LA Strong: A Celebration to Support the Fire Recovery Efforts in Los Angeles, scheduled for February 23rd at Crypto.com Arena in L.A.
Among other notable celebrities who will be coaching teams is Snoop Dogg, Will Ferrell, Vince Vaughn, Danny DeVito and Cobie Smulders. Musical performances are also planned with Kaskade, Jordan Davis and Lauren Spencer-Smith joining the lineup. The games broadcast will take place on ESPN2 and can also be livestreamed on ESPN+.
The exhibition matches four teams consisting of 13 players each competing in a single-elimination format. Not only will celebrities participate, but professional hockey stars like Jeremy Roenick, Rob Blake, Mark Messier, Manon Rheaume and Dany Heatley are also set to take part. The roster includes athletes from other sports as well as first responders who are passionate about the sport of hockey.
This isnt Justin Biebers first time skating on ice; he has previously participated in celebrity games and served as a team captain for the 2024 NHL All-Star Game held in Toronto.
The proceeds from this event will benefit several organizations, including the Red Cross, the LA Fire Foundation, Cal Fire Foundation, and Eaton Canyon Fire Relief and Recovery Fund. Additionally, all firefighters, first responders, community group leaders, fire victims and their families as well as Kings Season Tickets Members are free to attend.
