Sabrina Carpenter’s “Short n’ Sweet” Hits No. 1 Again with New Deluxe Version

Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet continues to soar in popularity. The pop stars sixth studio album, which was released last August, has climbed back to the peak of the Official U.K. Albums Chart after the recent release of a deluxe version on February 21st.

The new edition features a remix of Please Please Please featuring Dolly Parton, as well as bonus tracks including “15 Minutes,” “Couldn’t Make It Any Harder,” “Busy Woman,” and “Bad Reviews.” At its initial release, Short n’ Sweet made history by becoming the first female artist to simultaneously achieve No. 1 on both the U.K.s album and single charts (“Taste”). The album also had the second-largest opening week of 2024, falling just behind Taylor Swifts “The Tortured Poets Department.”

The LP has now spent three consecutive weeks at No. 1 in the UK. This success led Sabrina Carpenter to share exciting news about another outdoor concert in London for the summer season. On July 6th, she will headline BST Hyde Park for a second time, following her previously sold-out show on July 5th. Tickets for this new date will be available from the festival’s official website starting at 10 AM GMT on February 24th. Clairo and Olivia Dean will support Carpenter that day; additional acts are expected to join them soon.

Manic Street Preachers follow in second place with their album Critical Thinking, marking the bands fifteenth U.K. top-10 release, including two chart-toppers: “This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours” from 1998 and The Ultra Vivid Lament, released three years ago.

PartyNextDoor and Drake’s collaborative effort $ome $exy $ongs 4 U places third on the charts. Indie band The Wombats comes in fourth with their album Oh! The Ocean, which is now their fifth top-10 entry in the UK. Central Cee completes the top five with Cant Rush Greatness, a chart mainstay since its release last month.

North London singer-songwriter Louis Dunford makes his debut on the top 10 charts with Be Lucky, landing at No. 8.
