A certain Material Girl remains a Jimmy Kimmel Live! virgin, and the late-night host harbors hopes of welcoming Madonna to his show for the very first time. In an exclusive interview with People magazine, the comedian shared which A-list celebrity he most wants as a guest on his program, despite past unsuccessful attempts.
“I wouldn’t say I’m desperate for anyone, but we’ve never had Madonna on our show,” Kimmel told the publication. “And it would be amazing to have her.”
He added that during an April 2024 concert in Mexico City, Madge invited his former sidekick Guille Rodriguez onstage with her. However, “not me.” Nothing has happened between them so far.
“Trending on Billboard”
Although Madonna hasn’t yet appeared on Kimmel’s Los Angeles studio, a perfect opportunity may be at hand as she prepares new music to promote. The pop icon recently announced on Instagram that her Valentine’s Day gift to fans was “letting you know I’m putting my heart and soul into my new music.” Her next album will serve as a follow-up to Confessions on a Dance Floor, which topped the Billboard 200 in 2005.
To bring this latest project to life, Madonna has enlisted O.G. producer Stuart Price once again. While her star power might make booking Kimmel’s show challenging, it would be easier than securing his other dream guest: Banksy.
Given that the street artist’s true identity remains unknown, any of his past guests could potentially have been the elusive figure, according to Kimmel in a humorous jab to friend Jason Bateman. “Maybe Banksy was secretly Jason Alexander,” he joked. Adding about another friend, “You know what? I’ve seen him draw. He’s not Banksy.”
