Kendrick Lamar took center stage at the Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show on February 9, 2025, performing at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. Following his compelling performance that week, Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” surged to No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 chart.
The song had already climbed from No. 15 to reclaim its top spot a week prior, all thanks to Lamar’s electrifying halftime show rendition. Meanwhile, Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ collaboration, “Die With a Smile,” continued its dominant run by adding another week at the helm of the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart.
The Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts began in September 2020, tracking song performance across over 200 territories worldwide through data compiled by Luminate. The Global 200 includes all worldwide sales and streaming information, while the Global Excl. U.S. chart excludes data from the United States.
For their week of February 14-20, “Not Like Us” garnered a staggering 111.7 million streams (down slightly by 1%) and sold 21,000 units (a decline of 46%) globally. This Drake diss track also won five Grammy Awards at the ceremony held on February 2, including Record and Song of the Year, making it a fourth consecutive week atop the Global 200.
On these same charts, Kendrick Lamar maintains his presence with “Luther,” which has risen to No. 3 (new high); “All the Stars” from 2018 featuring SZA reached its best performance yet at No. 6; and “TV Off” climbed from No. 7 to No. 5 in response to his Super Bowl set.
“Die With a Smile,” by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars, remained steady at the second position after nine weeks on top of the Global 200 since September; ROSÉ’s “APT.” followed closely behind, dropping from its record 15-week No. 1 spot on the Global Excl. U.S. chart but still holding second place; while Billie Eilish’s “Birds of a Feather” returned to fifth position after three weeks at the top last August.
With global streams of 103.3 million (down by 4%) and sales totaling 4,000 units (a decline of 17%), “Die With a Smile” celebrated its tenth week on No. 1 of the Global Excl. U.S., marking it as the fifth song to achieve this milestone since the chart’s inception.
“APT.” stayed at second place on both charts after holding first for an unprecedented fifteen weeks starting in November; “Not Like Us” retained its third position among global leaders, while “Luther” jumped from No. 6 to fourth and “All the Stars” leapt from seventh to eighth—both new top ten positions for Lamar with SZA’s involvement.
“Birds of a Feather,” by Billie Eilish, also maintained its spot at fifth place on the Global Excl. U.S., where it had spent three weeks as number one last August.
The Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts, updated for March 1, 2025, will be available on Billboard.com starting Tuesday, February 25th. While the top hundred titles are accessible to all readers on the site, the complete list of two hundred songs is visible only via Billboard Pro—the subscription-based service from Billboard.
