The photo captures a moment that could be part of a future where Jack Blues might also take to ice skates.
Justin Bieber’s son with wife Hailey, six-month-old Jack Blues, might find himself at the rink if he follows his dad’s footsteps as an ice hockey enthusiast and pop star. Recently during the Skate For LA Strong—a benefit hockey game held in Los Angeles for wildfire recovery efforts—Bieber was interviewed about his involvement.
Asked about taking part in this charity event, Bieber expressed that it means everything to him. The singer, who has been off tour since 2022 and rarely makes live public appearances, highlighted how the participants aim to have fun while helping those affected by wildfires in Los Angeles last January.
The interviewer then posed another question about his family: “I know you’re a new dad. How soon are you looking to get your kid on skates?” Bieber replied without hesitation, “As soon as possible.” Despite Jack Blues being just six months old and not even ready to crawl yet, the pop star was optimistic, emphasizing that it’s never too early.

The day included many other celebrities who participated actively, such as Steve Carell and Ross Lynch. Notable coaches present were Snoop Dogg, Will Ferrell, Vince Vaughn, Danny DeVito, and Cobie Smulders, alongside musical guests Kaskade, Jordan Davis, and Lauren Spencer-Smith.
The event featured a single-elimination format with four teams competing. Celebrities played alongside hockey professionals like Mark Messier and Jeremy Roenick as well as athletes from other sports and first responders. The game was broadcast on ESPN2 and also livestreamed on ESPN+.
Proceeds from the Skate For LA Strong event will benefit several organizations, including the Red Cross, the LA Fire Foundation, Cal Fire Foundation, and Eaton Canyon Fire Relief and Recovery Fund.
Bieber’s enthusiastic response to getting his son involved in ice skating is captured in a video shared by Billboard on their TikTok account. It highlights not only Bieber’s love for sports but also his excitement about Jack Blues’ future endeavors with his dad.
