Halsey Drops Dark Leathery Teaser Clip for Upcoming Song ‘Safeword’

Halsey has made a splash at yet another event. The singer attended the Los Angeles Premiere Of A24’s “Babygirl” at DGA Theater Complex on December 11, 2024, in Los Angeles.

It seems Halsey always manages to keep her fans guessing with new surprises. On Monday (Feb. 24), she announced the release of a brand new single titled “Safeword,” set for Thursday (Feb. 27).

To give fans an early taste, Halsey dropped a teaser clip from the music video, which lasts just 13 seconds. In the preview, viewers see Halsey dressed in alluring black-and-silver studded underwear paired with a leather jacket and knee-high, stiletto boots adorned with studs. The scene features guitar-driven beats as a man lies on the floor wearing a leather submission mask. With her foot pressing down on his throat, she utters the line “You’re not the boss of me!” before cutting to her face.

“Safeword” follows closely in the heels of Halsey’s highly anticipated fifth studio album, “The Great Impersonator,” which was released back in October. The album included hit singles such as “The End,” “Lucky,” “Lonely Is the Muse,” and “Ego.”

Excitement continues to build around Halsey as she prepares for her upcoming tour titled Halsey: For My Last Trick, scheduled to kick off on May 10 at the Toyota Pavilion in Concord, CA. The 32-city Live Nation-promoted outing will take fans across Phoenix, Los Angeles, Dallas, Nashville, Tampa, Charlotte, Toronto, Chicago and St. Louis before wrapping up on July 6 at Yaamava’ Theater in Highland, CA.
