Lady Gaga Takes Over Rio with ‘Mayhem on the Beach’ Extravaganza

Lady Gaga announced a special Mayhem on the Beach performance at Praia de Copacabana, Rio’s iconic beach, via social media. The event is scheduled for May 3. “Its an honor to be asked to perform in Brazil,” she wrote online. My fans here have been part of my lifeblood since day one.

Ive been wanting to come back and perform for you all these years, the Grammy-winning artist continued, acknowledging her previous cancellation due to hospitalization. “Your understanding that I needed time to heal meant so much to me.” Now feeling better than ever, Gaga is eager to ensure this performance will be unforgettable.

The Rock in Rio 2017 performance had been cancelled in September of the same year when Lady Gaga announced she was hospitalized due to severe physical pain. On X (formerly Twitter), the singer wrote that while she would “do anything for you,” her body needed care at that time. The actress later delved into her struggles with fibromyalgia, a chronic condition causing persistent pain and fatigue.

Mayhem on the Beach is set to occur about two months before Mayhem , Gagas highly anticipated seventh studio album due out on March 7th. Three days prior to this concert announcement, Lady Gaga shared the project’s tracklist which includes Billboard Hot 100 hit singles Die With a Smile, “Disease,” and “Abracadabra,” along with bonus tracks titled Kill for Love and “Cant Stop the High.”
