ROS expressed strong admiration for Jennie’s new solo single “ExtraL,” featuring Doechii. Immediately after the song was released on Friday (Feb. 21), Ros shared a screenshot of Jennie’s music video on her Instagram Story, writing, this girlll, accompanied by two heart emojis.
“ExtraL out now!!!”, ROS added enthusiastically in support.
The track “ExtraL” sees both JENNIE and the Swamp Princess taking turns on different verses before joining forces for an empowering chorus directed at their fans. The lyrics boast, Riding round, foreign cars/ Top down, staring at the stars/ Attitude, so dont start.
“ExtraL” will be featured on JENNIE’s upcoming album “Ruby,” scheduled to drop on March 7. This release includes previous singles such as “Mantra” and Love Hangover, featuring Dominic Fike.
Four months after the projects arrival, BLACKPINK members are set to reunite for a global tour. The band announced these dates just three days before “ExtraL.” As ROS recently confirmed, this reunion will feature new music as well. This event marks an end to more than a year of separation while each member focused on their solo projects.
The singer of “Number One Girl,” Ros’s debut album titled rosie which featured the Billboard Global 200 hit APT with Bruno Mars was released in December. Meanwhile, JISOOs EP Amortage came out on Valentines Day, preceding LISAs upcoming album Alter Ego scheduled for February 28.
Despite their time apart, the BLACKPINK members continued to support each other from afar a fact Jennie touched upon in her January Billboard cover story. “We are all so caught up with life,” she said at the time. “Obviously, we cant be calling each other every day.” She further explained that despite this lack of frequent interaction, they feel no differently about their relationships due to mutual respect and understanding.
“Theyre literally a phone call away, Jennie continued. And at this point, we respect each others space so much. So if theres anything to be happy for or celebrate, were all in it together.
