Tyga paid tribute to his late mother, Pasionaye Nguyen, with a heartfelt Instagram post following her passing in January at the age of 53.
The rapper revealed the tragic loss and expressed deep emotions about his mom’s departure. Tyga shared that he was close with his mother and described her as “the best and most supportive person” in his life. He wrote, I been trying to understand and process why God takes the most meaningful and most beautiful people away from us, but admitted he couldn’t find answers that would fill the void in his heart.
He continued by expressing a strong desire to be with her again: “I would trade anything just to be able to be with you again I LOVE YOU SO MUCH. and I cant wait for the day until were together again Ill see you soon and save me a spot right next to you in paradise.”
Tygas heartfelt message also included a slideshow of photos featuring him with his mother throughout her life, including one showing her hand in a hospital bed. The sincerity of his post resonated deeply with the music community.
Amid this heartbreaking loss, Tyga released his first studio album since 2019 earlier in February titled “NSFW.” The 17-track project featured collaborations from several prominent artists including Lil Wayne, Shenseea, Big Sean, Flo Milli, Lil Tjay, and Ty Dolla $ign.
